Somewhere right now there’s a box of sixty novels in a closet because the covers came back trimmed a quarter-inch crooked. The text is perfect. Nobody has ever opened them. By any measure that matters to a reader, they’re new books. They were headed for the recycling anyway, because they can’t be sold as flawless.
We buy those, and we sell them to you for less.

What to expect
Bumped corner, trim error, jacket crease — written into the listing and on the shelf tag before you buy. Nothing here is sold as “used,” and nothing about the condition will surprise you when it arrives.
We look at each book before it goes out. If it isn’t readable, it doesn’t go on the shelf.
We bundle what we can, so you find a whole story instead of book three on its own.
Indie, BIPOC, queer, and minority authors first. Writers who published themselves, or through a small press, or through a house that gave them one print run and no marketing budget. A lot of them are very good. Almost none of them are on the shelf at the chain store.
That’s why the discount matters. Most people won’t gamble full price on a name they’ve never seen. At 25 to 30 percent off, plenty of them will — and that’s how a writer picks up a reader.
